Christmas Train

Christmas Pictures

Daniel had an amazing train themed Christmas this year. He is just in love with trains and he was not disappointed this holiday season. It was really hard to get pictures of him actually looking at the camera because he was so enthralled with his toys.

On Christmas Eve we let Daniel open one present and he opened a Thomas train that Lauriann sent us. He wouldn't put it down the rest of the evening. He even carried it to bed with him. There were three pieces to the train so it was quite cute watching him carry them around.

Our Christmas Eve family portrait. Daniel wouldn't sit still until the red light started blinking for the camera self timer. Thank goodness for that little red light.

Santa brought Daniel a very cool kids chair and lots of books.

When Daniel plays with his trains he likes to get down to their level (For some reason he enjoys looking into the windows of the trains). He spends a lot of time on the floor like this playing.

This is a picture of Daniel playing with his new train set. My mom will be making him a train table so he has somewhere to actually put the train on. The carpet doesn't really make a good foundation for the track. Daniels Aunt Jenny and Uncle Kevin made him the BEST dessert ever! They baked the coolest train cake ever! I think Daniel enjoyed the cake!

The Police Car

One of our friends works as a York County sherrif and he came over the other day to let Daniel check out his car. At first Daniel was really apprehensive, but he warmed up to it and had a blast playing in the back seat.

In this picture the radio all the sudden turned on and it scared him, but I hope that if I ever found Daniel in the back of a police car that this would be the look on his face.

Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving break we traveled to Oklahoma to spend the holidays with Scott's parents. Daniel had a great time, and we all enjoyed seeing the family.

One of the things that makes traveling easier is to have new toys for Daniel to play with. I wasn't a fan of the the Thomas train brand, but Daniel just loves it. So, we purchased his very first Thomas and he was SOOO excited to have it.

Just some pictures of Daniel playing outside at his Grandma's and Grandpa's house.

Playing in a leaf pile with his second cousins Allison and Megan. The girls were really cute and were such a big help with Daniel.

Daniel would copy the two girls. They were throwing leaves in the air, so he had to do the same thing.

Doodlebops Live

Daniel is a HUGE Doodlebop fan! He absolutely loves them. So the other day we fulfilled his lifelong dream of seeing them live.

Halloween

Instead of Daniel helping me carve a pumpkin I had him paint his own. He was pretty hesistant at first but then he got into it.

James, being the artistic Todd, created a Daniel face in his pumpkin. I loved it and will treasure the picture always. I hope that he can do this every year for us.

Daniel was dressed up as a road this year for halloween. I painted a road on a black sweat suit and attached matchbox cars using velcro. It was the perfect costume for Daniel because he LOVES anything that has to do with cars. He didn't like having the cars velcroed to the sweatshirt, but he carried them around all night.

Daniel kept handing Scott the mask to put on and he would laugh as Scott played Peek-a-Boo with it.

Andrew's first High School Dance

My brother Andrew attended his first Homecoming Dance. He loooked so handsome. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Daniel Pictures

Here are some recent pictures of Daniel. Just thought I would post some new ones.
Last weekend Daniel helped me make some pancakes. He was very helpful.

Daniel was completely sucked into the TV. He was watching his favorite show The Doodlebops.

Daniel's two favorite things, books and trucks!

Gymnastics Class

We started Daniel in his first activity today! It was so much fun! Scott and Gus watched while I chased Daniel around the gym. He liked running on the mats, but his favorite was the trampoline. They had us rotate to different stations, there was a bars, floor, vault and beam station. Daniel couldn't quite figure out how to jump for the vault, hang onto the bars or walk the beam. But even still he wore himself out and was exhausted by the end of class. We were in the car maybe three minutes before he fell asleep.

First Haircut

Daniel got his first haircut on Friday. He didn't really like it at all. Thankfully, for our friend Rhonda, there wasn't much hair to trim.

Grass Castles

Last weekend we were raking our yard in preparation for new grass seed being thrown down. Daniel was enjoying picking up the old, dead grass and dumping it into his sand castle bucket. Jenny was here to encourage it.

I'm having trouble loading the other pictures... I'll try later.

Just Because...

I was taking some pictures of Daniel today and I thought that these were cute so I wanted to share them with everyone.

Daniel's very own Lego seat. He loves it and Scott loved making it.

It was such a nice evening and so we invited Gus (Amy's Dad), Uncle James and Uncle Andrew over dinner. We grilled out and this is a picture of Daniel I took while he was running around the yard showing off for everyone. He was in a really silly mood tonight.
