Preschool Graduation

I can't believe I am writing about Daniel's preschool graduation.  It really doesn't seem that long ago I was walking around the halls of Chestnut Memorial Preschool getting him all signed up.  I remember looking at the kids and thinking how much older they looked.  Now my baby is one of those "older" kids.  He looked very handsome at his graduation and he was such a big boy.

A Day with the Animals

A couple of weeks ago my mom and I took Daniel and Ryan to Blue Bird Gap Farm.  It was really a cute place in the middle of Hampton.  You would never know when you are there that it is in the middle of the city.  Ryan really liked looking at the animals, Daniel was indifferent.  He was a lot more interested in playing on the playground.

Preschool Picnic

I am behind in posting lately so I am going to try and do a little catching up.

Daniel's preschool had an end of year picnic a couple weeks ago. I was excited that I was actually able to attend the event, last year I wasn't able to get out of work.  The entire preschool meets at Newport News park and the kids  play, eat and sing songs for the parents (isn't that a requirement for all  preschool functions?).  Daniel and  Ryan were cute as always, but the older they get the more their differences shine. Ryan LOVES being outside.  He enjoys every minute of it.  Daniel on the other hand would much prefer to play inside where there is air conditioning.  He has trouble enjoying himself if he is too hot.

Mrs. Frigo (Daniel's teacher) taught Daniel how to jump rope this year. This was one thing that he did enjoy doing at the picnic.

Ryan really enjoyed playing with all the toys they had.  This is Ryan all wrapped up in the parachute.  Scott had to help him untangle himself from it.
This is Daniel's friend Jace.  Jace was wearing a sweatshirt at the start of the picnic, then after the kids were all lined up ready to sign (and yes he was right up front) he decided that he was hot and started to strip on stage. He did have a shirt on underneath, but it was really cute to watch how he just didn't think about all the people watching him. He was just interested in getting comfortable before singing. Everyone in the audience was giggling as he was struggling with the sweatshirt.
Daniel and Jace were two of the loudest kids there.  Jace likes to yell the songs and Daniel has picked up the habit.  They were very enthusiastic signing "Tony Chestnut".
