Day at the Beach

We are so lucky to live so close to the ocean, I often forget to enjoy it.  We spent the day at the beach and had a fantastic day!  We drove down to Virginia Beach for the day and survived with all three kids at the beach.  The weather was perfect, the breeze of the ocean was divine, and the smiles on the boys face was worth the hassle of packing and hauling all of the required beach stuff.   Daniel spent the entire 4 hours in the water diving and dodging through the waves.  He even made a friend.  It was a little stressful giving him some independence in the water.  But he did a great job. Ryan didn't really like the waves and water at first.  He finally warmed up to it about half way through our time there.  In the beginning all he wanted to do was play on the playground.  There was a playground on the beach and he was really jazzed about it.  But we needed another adult in order to let him play on it for any length of time.  He did enjoy playing in the sand next to the water and over time he finally warmed up to actually playing in the water.  Today brought back lots of childhood memories for me.  I remember when my family went to the beach my sister and I would spend our entire time playing in the waves.

Eating a little lunch before heading out to the water.

Summer Swim

One of my favorite things about the summer is spending the day at the pool. We have found a great pool to take the kids too.  It is a little bit of a drive (15 min.), but really worth it.  I feel like we have found a secret place because hardly anyone goes there.  We went the other day and were the only people at the pool for the first hour.

Daniel is turning into a little fish and  he improves so much every time we go.  I can't believe how much he has improved this past month.  Ryan is swimming really well with his float, but he is still not comfortable putting his face in the water.  Maybe by the of the summer he will be willing to put his face in the water all by himself.  Kyle is pretty indifferent to the water.  He  just hangs out while Daniel and Ryan swim around him.

Kyle 3 Months

Kyle has been such a great baby. He is so sweet and easy going.  Kyle is growing so fast and he is a really big boy.  People will ask "How old is your baby, 6,7,8 months?"  When I look at them and tell them he is only 3 months old, they are always so surprised.  And I gets lots of comments, well he is a big baby.  Yep, I know.

Fascinated by his toes.

Tooth Fairy

Daniel finally lost his first tooth on June 19th.  He was so excited to get money from the tooth fairy.  The tooth fairy loves the first tooth and since it is so special it got $5.  I'm sure the tooth fairy will not be giving Daniel that much money for the rest of his baby teeth.

Such a tiny tooth

Daniel finally gets to use the tooth fairy pillow he got as a baby gift.
