ATL

Over my Spring Break we traveled down to Georgia to spend time with my best friends Christen, Nikki and Nikki's family. It was so much fun to catch up with the girls, get a chance to spend time with the twins and watch Daniel and Eli play together. Some of my favorite moments were listening to Eli and Daniel. They stayed in the same room at night and they were so cute. One night Daniel came out of the room to get the "I'm stalling my bedtime" drink of water. I took him back in and Eli was hiding in Daniel's sleeping bag. He scared me and we all caught the giggles after that. The boys played so well together. I really wished we lived closer so the boys could spend more time together. Our tripped was packed with lots of activities. On Friday we spend the afternoon at Stone Mountain. It had been awhile since I had been there and didn't realize all the commercialization of the park. It was crowded, but it didn't matter to the kids. We rode a train around the park which they all loved, and then took them up to the top of the mountain.
Just two boys chillin' at the park

Ryan infatuated with the construction site next to the train station.
On the train waiting for it to go.

Ryan was a mama's boy at the park. He was so funny and he kept giving me kisses. It was really cute and he was just being really silly.

Waiting in line for the sky ride up to the top of the mountain. Nikki, Christen and twins waited for us at the bottom of the mountain while we rode up and walked around the top of Stone Mountain.
More kisses.
Riding up to the top.

On Saturday we had a fantastic day at the Aquarium and Centennial park. I was very proud of us because we actually made it to the Aquarium pretty early and beat most of the crowds. It wasn't until the last section of the aquarium where the crowds became too much. After the Aquarium we had a picnic lunch outside, the kids played and then we went over to Centennial park for some playground fun.

They exhibits were pretty awesome at the Aquarium and they have this one huge tank where the fish swim all around you. Ryan enjoyed watching them swim above him.

"Cheese!"
One of the coolest slides. A large majority of the kids were playing on this slide. I'm surprised I haven't seen it a more playgrounds. It was made up of a bunch of poles that spun as the kids went down the slide.

Trip to the Zoo

Our first day of spring break was spent at the Virginia Zoo with Daniel's best friend, Jace and his family. After a long drive (there was an accident in the tunnel) and driving all over Norfolk because although a GPS is nice to have, it doesn't always send you the way that would be the most convenient. Once we finally go there I took this opportunity to take a few pictures of Daniel and Jace, and Daniel could not seem to keep his eyes open. By the last picture Jace was trying to "teach" Daniel how to keep his eyes open.

"Daniel just keep your eyes open like this!" "My two dads"
Ryan looking at the Giraffes. He loved looking at them, and kept pointing and repeating "Giraffe".

The boys were sweet sitting there while we tried to get their picture. But they were completely uninterested in looking at the camera. They were mesmerized by the train behind me.

5 Years of Lucky

Lucky mom, lucky dad, and five years worth of joy! That is what Daniel has brought us. He is such a great kid. I gave this Lucky shirt to Scott when Daniel was born and on Daniel's first birthday we started taking his picture wearing it. We wanted a way to document his growth rather than using a typical growth chart. Even though the shirt swallows him in every picture, he has changed quite a bit. I know one day he will actually fit into the shirt, and that day will be bittersweet. But when that day happens I will have these past photos to look back upon.
