Helping Nana

Spring is one of Daniel's favorite times of the year because he gets to help his Nana in the garden. For his birthday my mom got him a bunch of garden tools and he is loving using them.

Spring Break Projects

The past week I have been on Spring Break and have been dealing with a serious case of "nesting." I decorated the nursery, worked on the playroom and finished a project over a year in the works (the growth chart).

RYAN'S ROOM:




PLAYROOM:
Scott and my mom built the window seat. Drawers are going to be put in each side. Then Scott is going to be build bookcases on each side. There is tons of storage in the seat, we have put a lot of Daniel's toys in the toybox seat. I absolutely love it! This week my mom and I sewed the cushions for the window seat. Actually my mom sewed them and I was just her assistant. I did make the pillows all by myself.

GROWTH CHART:
This is a project that I started before we moved into our house in Williamsburg. Although there are a lot of cute growth charts but they don't actually "grow" with the child. So I wanted to make something that was forever and couldn't be painted over. I guess having a new baby makes you want to finish all the projects that you have started and never finished. So for anyone out there that has a project hanging over your head, just get pregnant and it will get done!
