Ryan's Favorite Words

Ryan loves to say yes and no, well, more nos than yes but he now says them with such enthusiasm. At the start of the first video you can hear Ryan saying Cheese, because isn't that what you say when you have a camera in your face?!

Christmas 2009 Photos

We have a small Christmas tree upstairs. Every night the boys open up an ornament present to decorate the tree. It is our advent "calendar". When all the presents are gone, it is time for Christmas. Daniel is pointing to his favorite ornament. His and Ryan's favorite are the two that make noise. Daniel is pointing to the Little Einsteins ornament which sings the theme song. Ryan had to turn it on every time he came upstairs, then he would proceed to dance while the song played. The picture below is Ryan pointing at the Hot Wheels ornament which makes some car noises.
Our family holiday photo. And yes we are wearing matching pjs. We are now that family that wears matching pjs. It started when I couldn't find pjs for Daniel so I decided that I would make them. Then I took it a step further and made some for all of us. On Ryan's and Daniel's shirt I put their favorite phrases of at that time so I would always have those memories. Ryan loves to say no, no and Daniel is really into correcting you if he thinks you are wrong by starting off with "Actually...". I was surprised but some of the photos turned out. I didn't think it was going to happen because they were both so squirmy.

One of our Christmas Eve traditions is to watch the Polar Express. Daniel wanted to drink hot chocolate as he watched the movie. Here is his adorable hot chocolate face!

The boys having their picture taken in front of the cookies and milk that was left for Santa.

We tried to get one last picture of the boys in front of the tree. It was one too many photos for Ryan, he wasn't having any of it.

This is the advent calendar that Ryan did at my mom's house. He was really good about putting on the magnets every day and really enjoyed doing it.
This is a picture of Daniel's advent calendar at Nana's. He loves putting on the little ornaments every morning.

Daniel showing me his present. It was really hard to get pictures of him this year while he was opening the presents. I love this one because he is so proud of his present and is typical of a little kid who shows you their present without showing you themselves.

Jessie opening her present, a soccer ball.

Daniel loved this present from my mom. It was tricky at first, but he has now gotten the hang of it. He can speed across the kitchen. The next challenge... outside!
My dad's Christmas present, a big ass Mac. We were teasing him that the screen was so big is was a geriatric mac. The first thing my dad did was password protect the mac from his family. So trusting!
